The other day, i came across a man tirelessly beating a Mango tree. i asked, “For what purpose do you beat this mango tree?” to which he responded, “This is no Mango tree. It is a Banana tree and i am pursuing Bananas.”
“But Bananas you shall surely not find here, for this is a Mango tree,” i pointed out.
“No, sir. This here is a healthy Banana tree. My father, who learned from his father before him, told me so. And i will get a bushel of Bananas before it kills me.”
“Well, you will surely die, then,” i reasoned, “for from this tree you will only receive Mangoes.”
“Kind sir, please,” a little annoyed. “My father, like his father, lived and died at the foot of this tree in the pursuit of Bananas.” Pride polished his words.
“i am sorry for your loss, dear brother. But, i beg your pardon, from what did your patriarchs perish?”
“Potassium depletion.”
